The output of an effect is connected through a filter back to the effect’s input. A LFO modulates the filter. The output is split so the sound can be recorded.

Two spring reverbs and one digital delay are routed this way and recorded in parallel. The recordings are assembled into the ambient track below.
Then the ambient track is divided into blocks. Beats within the blocks are repeated in a rhythmic pattern. Some blocks are discarded and the rest are chained together in chronological order to create the second track.
